Divya Khossla Talks About Her Movie 'Savi' and its Similarity to Alia Bhatt's 'Jigra'
Actress Divya Khossla has noticed that her movie, 'Savi', and the upcoming Alia Bhatt movie, 'Jigra', share a similar plot. Both movies are about breaking someone out of jail. However, Divya believes each movie is unique and special in its own way. She's grateful that she got the chance to make a movie in this genre first.
The Story of 'Savi'
'Savi' stars Harshvardhan Rane and Anil Kapoor. The story is inspired by the old tale of Savitri and Satyavan. It's about a regular housewife who tries to break her husband out of a high-security prison in England.
The Story of 'Jigra'
Alia Bhatt's movie, 'Jigra', is about a brother and sister who had a tough childhood. The teaser trailer shows Alia trying to break her brother (played by Vedang Raina) out of jail.
Divya's Thoughts
When asked about the similar plots, Divya said that a lot of people have been asking her about it. She said, "I'm just thankful for all the love 'Savi' has gotten. It did well in theaters and on streaming services. Our movie was about a jailbreak, but even though 'Jigra' might be similar, I think every movie has its own unique story. Sometimes two different production companies can make movies with similar plots."
Divya is happy she got the chance to make a movie like this first and doesn't want to say anything else about it.
Changing Her Name
Divya also changed her name for professional reasons. She thinks it's working out well for her because 'Savi' was successful, and she got a lot of praise for her role in the movie.
