The action-adventure movie "Ajayante Randam Moshanam" (ARM), starring Tovino Thomas, has been a huge success at the box office, earning over 50 crore rupees (500 million rupees) in just five days and is on its way to reaching 100 crore rupees.
The movie's creators shared a special post on social media to celebrate this achievement and thanked the audience for watching the film in theaters. According to reports, the movie earned 2.9 crore rupees on its first day in India alone. In its first six days, it made an estimated 23.25 crore rupees in India, with a total of 26.85 crore rupees including international earnings. The majority of its earnings came from the Malayalam box office, reaching 20.86 crore rupees by the end of Day 6.
The makers took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the remarkable feat. “Celebrating a fiery success! #ARM3D has crossed a monumental ₹50 crore mark in just 5 days! A huge thank you to our genuine audience who experienced the film as intended by the creators in theatres,” it captioned.
ARM is a Malayalam-language action-adventure film directed by Jithin Laal. Tovino Thomas plays three different roles in the film. Other important actors include Krithi Shetty, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Surabhi Lakshmi.
The film was made on a budget of 30 crore rupees. It was released in theaters on September 12th in several languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, during the Onam festival.
Critics have praised the film for Tovino's acting (especially his portrayal of Maniyan), Surabhi's performance, the direction, story, visual effects, and music. The music for the film was composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas.
