In a recent interview, Mandira talked about how she felt out of place at times and remarked,
“I got stared down by a lot of the cricketers like, ‘what’s she even asking, why is she even asking that.’ They answered whatever they wanted to answer nothing connected to my question and that can be very very intimidating but I kind of was assured by the channel, that backed me and chose me from 150-200 women.”
The actress also discussed how it took a long time for the players and panellists to embrace her in the world of cricket. She explained,
“Nobody accepted me to begin with, certainly not the people sitting on the panel.”
The actress went on to say that she is friends with all of the ex-cricketers she had worked with. However, some of the panellists didn’t enjoy this. She said,

“They didn’t like that there was a woman wearing a saree, dressed up, talking cricket.”
The actor stated that she was there to represent the “layperson” who is unfamiliar with every aspect of cricket.

On February 14, 1999, the famed actress Mandira Bedi married Raj Kaushal, a film director by profession. On June 19, 2011, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy called Vir at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.

The Indian film industry also received bad news when Mandira’s husband, Raj Kaushal, a producer and stunt director, died of a heart attack on June 30, 2021. He was 49 years old when he died.
