Inadvertently, social media has provided a platform for the diffusion of knowledge, but it has also become a garbage dump. Anyone may create a social media account and publish nasty, regressive, and often hateful and obscene comments online from the comfort of their own homes, sitting behind their laptops and mobile displays. These remarks are frequently made with the intent of upsetting the person. Many people are interested in celebrities.
These latest instances of celebrities being trolled for bizarre reasons only serve to demonstrate what is wrong with our culture and how callous we have become. We haven’t been able to develop empathy for others.
1. Shah Rukh Khan getting trolled for “spitting” at Lata Mangeshkar’s funeral shows how we speak without knowledge.
People who were not well-informed assumed Shah Rukh Khan was spitting during Lata Mangeshkar’s burial, while in fact he was offering dua. Those who spoke without knowing accused SRK of spitting while he was actually blowing air, which is a religious rite for Muslims. For the uninitiated, Ruqyah is the Islamic ritual of reading holy texts and then blowing air.
2. Shah Rukh Khan was trolled for wearing sunglasses for Dilip Kumar’s funeral and it only shows how hate is growing stronger every day.
Mandira Bedi was criticised for attending her husband Raj Kaushal’s burial in jeans, and SRK was trolled for attending Dilip Kumar’s funeral in sunglasses. People remarked on his appearance rather than the gesture.
3. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan got hate for a grieving the death of Lata Mangeshkar “so late”. Is there a time limit for mourning?
A user wrote on her post, “Badi late yaad aayi”. Another one said, “Aapko shukar hai yaad toh aaya”. “Itni jaldi post,” read another comment. “Kuch naye words seekh lo”, said another user.
So, is there time limit for grieving and mourning the loss of a loved one?
4. Instead of applauding Shehnaaz Gill’s strength, people targetted her for being happy post-Sidharth Shukla’s demise.

5. Sara Ali Khan was trolled mercilessly for visiting Kedarnath and worshipping Bholenath.

Others targeted her faith, while some attacked her for worshipping to Hindu gods. A comment read, “Laaanat ho muslim ho kar, bhagwan ke paas jaati hoo.” We’re in the year 2022, and we’re still battling about religion?
6. Rajkummar Rao got trolled for posting a mirror selfie of wife, and it only shows how people think.
Even Rajkummar Rao later commented that those who believe like way make him chuckle. He, on the other hand, quickly erased the photo after being teased. “It’s about a photograph I took of Patra (Patralekhaa), which I thought was gorgeous. And no one noticed it, as if it were a reflection in a mirror. People assumed she was sitting in a certain position; after all, why would we do such a thing? We are also responsible and mature individuals “He told KoiMoi about it.
7. Deepika Padukone got hate for her choice of clothes and it was deeply sexist.
An influencer commented on Deepika Padukone’s clothing she wore to promote the new film Gehraiyaan in a condescending Instagram note.
8. It’s Malaika Arora’s right to wear a bra or not, but some people don’t understand this.
Free the Nipple has been a cause for years. The camogin’s mission is to treat all humans as equal. Miley Cyrus had once said, “The nipple, what you can’t show, is what everyone has. But the jug part that everybody doesn’t, you’re allowed to show underboob. I’ve never understood the way it works.”
And here in India, people made nasty comments on Malaika Arora who chose to go braless for morning walk. One user commented, “Shameless woman”. Another one wrote, “Double mask without a single bra…”.
9. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s 10-month-old daughter got rape threats just because India lost to New Zealand.
It’s not just surprising, but it’s also beyond comprehension. In today’s world, there is so much hatred that we have all become heartless.
