Few Bollywood performers have earned a name for themselves in Hollywood films, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh Bachchan, and the late Irrfan Khan. Several South Indian actors have also starred in international films, in addition to Bollywood stars. Dhanush and Rajinikanth are two South actors who have starred in Hollywood films.

Let’s have a look at five South Indian performers who have also appeared in English films:

Thalaiva starred in the Indian-American action film Bloodstone (1998). It was the only Hollywood film starring Rajinikanth and was produced by Ashok Amritraj. It was based on a fabled gem. The South star made waves internationally with his performances in the film.

With the 2018 film The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir, the Atrangi Re actor makes his Hollywood debut. The English-language adventure comedy, directed by Ken Scott, is based on Romain Puertolas’ novel The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe. He’ll also appear in Anthony and Joe Russo’s highly anticipated film The Gray Man. Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans also star.

The actor, who has been in a number of Tamil films throughout the 1990s, made his Hollywood debut in 2019 with the film Christmas Coupon. He also appears in Sam Logan Khalegi’s Devil’s Night: Dawn Of The Nain Rouge in the same year. In the upcoming Hollywood film Trap City, the actor will play a music producer. Intriguingly, another South actor, G.V. Prakash, makes his international debut in the film.

G.V. Prakash

With the film Trap City, G.V. Prakash, a popular music composer turned actor, makes his Hollywood debut. In the film about a drug dealer who becomes a successful rapper, Brandon T Jackson and Dennis LA White play crucial roles. Prakash is said to be playing a doctor who treats Brandon T Jackson and convinces him to take up singing.

Pooja Kumar

Kumar, who co-starred with Kamal Haasan in Vishwaroopam, has also appeared in Hollywood films such as Bollywood Hero, Man on a Ledge, and Anything For You.
