Just like in our career, many celebs have made mistakes too. They either missed a good opportunity or grabbed a bad one. So, here are some of the celebs who confessed picking up wrong movies and sharing their regret about the same! *Grabs popcorn*

1. Abhay Deol – Aisha

Not just us, but Abhay Deol also felt that Aisha was less about storytelling but more about clothes. In one of his interviews, Abhay Deol said he would never want to be a part of a movie like Aisha again. He said: “The movie had nothing to do with Jane Austen’s Emma as it was reported. When I was shooting, I realised that the film was more about clothes than actual acting. I even read reviews of the movie that praised the clothes.”

2. Saif Ali Khan – Humshakals

No one could deny that Humshakals was extremely regressive movie. Saif Ali Khan himself said that ‘it was a mistake’. According to a TOI report, Saif admitted that he had ‘surrendered’ himself to the filmmaker. He said, “The film didn’t have a script as such, it was all there in Sajid’s mind. I did whatever he asked me to. I did the film thinking that it will help me expand my market, but obviously, that wasn’t a clever idea.”

He also added: “The film was very regressive. In fact, while watching it, I asked myself what I was doing in it. I knew I had let my fans down and underestimated their intelligence. I’ve been introspecting a lot and will never repeat a mistake that was Humshakals.”

3. Shahid Kapoor – Shaandaar

Shahid Kapoor mentioned how he wished he hadn’t done Shaandaar, Chup Chup Ke and Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi. While talking about the movies he regret doing , he said:

“Shaandaar being the first on that list. Chup Chup Ke maybe I wouldn’t want to do and maybe Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi –because I think it was trying to be an international film and we didn’t have the kind of expertise to do that kind of computer graphics.”

4. Emraan Hashmi – Good Boy Bad Boy

There are very few actors, who have opened up about how actors sometimes need to do movies for financial stability. Talking about his movie – Good Boy Bad Boy – Emraan Hashmi openly said that – ‘kuch filmein kitchen chalane ke liye bhi karni padti hain’. He further added: “Good Boy Bad Boy toh aisi movie thi ki kitchen hamesha ke liye band ho jaaye.”

5. Ajay Devgn – Himmatwala

Even the talented actor like Ajay Devgn has regret of doing Sajid Khan’s Himmatwaala. While sharing his disappointment, he critiqued Sajid Khan’s direction for Himmatwaala. He said he already knew it will be a flop. Devgn in a press interview said, “80 percent of the times, I have come to know while shooting that the film won’t work. I have not seen those films during the trial shows. I have not seen ‘Himmatwala’ and ‘Rascals’ till today. You get that feeling.”

While talking about Himmatwala, he said:“I thought the film (Himmatwala) will be shot the way Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai was shot in retro style. What Sajid did is he took 80s film and shot it in 80s style only. Himmatwala would have worked if it would have been made in today’s styling and punch lines but it went back in time.”

6. Govinda – Kill Dil

While talking about his movie Kill Dil, Govinda said he took up the role in Kill Dil only because his family said he’ll be left behind. “I asked my wife and my children about it. They very honestly told me that I didn’t have much of a choice. The kind of roles I wanted to do were not coming my way and I wasn’t keen on the kind of offers I was getting. My family told me to take up the offer, or I’ll be left behind.”

7. Katrina Kaif – Boom

Popular actress Katrina Kaif once regretted working in her debut movie Boom. Katrina is a massive star now, but her start in Bollywood wasn’t that ideal. It has often been reported that she has disappointments over doing Boom.

“The film wasn’t planned, it just happened. It might not be a great launching pad, but I get to work with a legend like Amitabh Bachchan. When I signed the film, I was not aware of Indian culture and tradition. Had I known that aspect of India, I would not have done the film. I would not do anything like that again. And if this means that I won’t get to do films anymore, I won’t, especially if film-makers expect me to do all the stuff that they see in Boom,” Katrina Kaif told TOI.

8. Twinkle Khanna – Mela

Mela is one disaster that no one wants to remember, not even Twinkle Khanna herself. Twinkle Khanna took a dig at her movie Mela and wrote on Instagram “Certain things, I suppose, are timeless! This popped up in my messages today and what can I say except Mela has certainly left a mark or a scar, whichever way you look at it, on me and the rest of the nation.”

9. Amitabh Bachchan – Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag

Realizing Aag was a mistake, the superstar Amitabh Bachchan said, “That you ask him (Ram Gopal Varma). Whenever a film is made and I am part of it. Whatever mistakes would have happened (failure) or whatever good things would have happened I take responsibility for that. I feel an actor and a director should be held responsible for the failure of a film. I won’t say I made a mistake. I worked on the film with all honesty. Maybe it was not the right decision, we accept that,” as per a PTI report.

“I can’t put my finger on it. I feel if I am part of a remake film I take it as a compliment. Whether a film should be remade or not is the decision of producers and artists involved. Some films have been made and they have been successful but it is a debate. In a way it is like complementing the original and in a way saying don’t touch the original because that is the best,” he added.

10. Priyanka Chopra – Zanzeer

After her career-defining performance in Barfi, Priyanka Chopra signed Zanjeer. Priyanka was nothing more than a mere prop and eye candy in this movie. Talking about her experience of working in Zanzeer, Priyanka Chopra told TOI: “Sometimes we make mistakes.”
