Everyone’s aware of Indian films where popular Pakistani actors played a part. Be it Mahira Khan in Raees or Fawad Khan in Khubsoorat, several Pak actors have worked in Bollywood but are you aware of the tale other way around? Here’s a list of 11 such Pakistani films where our Indian actors showed their magic:-
1. Khamosh Pani - Kirron Kher and Shilpa Shukla
In 2003's Pakistani film Khamosh Pani, Kher made her promising debut in Pakistan. She even won the award for Best Actress at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. Chak De India fame Shilpa Shukla also played a significant role in this Sabiha Sumar directorial.
2. Love Mein Ghum - Johnny Lever
Known as the OG comedian of all generations Johnny impressed us with films like Baazigar, Awara Paagal Deewana, Dilwale, Koi...Mil Gaya, Phir Hera Pheri and Badshah to name a few. It was 2010 when Lever starred in a Pakistani film titled Love Mein Ghum and impressed audiences beyond boundaries equally.
3. Kabhi Pyaar Na Karna - Neha Dhupia
Neha who has impressed us with some of the blockbusters, made her debut in Lollywood ( Yes, that's what's it's called) with the film Kabhi Pyaar Na Karna where she featured in an item number. The film also features some popular Pakistani actors like Veena Malik, Moammar Rana and Zara Sheikh.
4. Khuda Kay Liye - Naseeruddin Shah
Not just one but India's gem Naseeruddin featured in multiple Pakistani movies including Khuda Kay Liye (2007) co-starring Fawad Khan, Iman Ali and Shaan Shahid, and Zinda Bhaag (2013) which also featured Amna Ilyas and Khurram Patras.
5. Actor in Law - Om Puri
This veteran actor often advocated peace between both countries and choose his art as a tool to blur the boundaries. Just like Naseeruddin, he also featured in multiple Lollywood projects including his most popular oversea stint - the 2016 film Actor in Law.
6. Sultanat - Shweta Tiwari, Govind Namdeo and Akashdeep Saigal
Bigg Boss 4 winner Shweta Tiwari starred in the superhit Pakistani action romance Sultanat (2014). She was accompanied by Akashdeep Saigal who played a villain in popular Indian daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Interstingly, both Saigal and Govind Namdeo played villains in Sultanat.
7. Godfather: The Legend Continues - Vinod Khanna, Arbaaz Khan, Amrita Arora, Preeti Jhangiani, Kim Sharma and Hrishitaa Bhatt
This 2007 film had several Indian actors onboard and was a remake of a popular Hollywood film by the same name. Directed by Hriday Shetty, the Lollywood flick starred veteran actor Vinod Khanna, Hrishitaa Bhatt, Mohabbatein fame Kim Sharma, Arbaaz Khan and his ex-wife Malaika Arora’s sister, Amrita Arora.
8. Virsa - Gulshan Grover and Arya Babbar
Bollywood's baddie Gulshan starred alongside Pakistani actress Mehreen Rajeev in Virsa. He played a negative role in this 2010 film which also starred Indian actor Arya Babbar. Arya is a former Bigg Boss contestant and featured in films like Tees Maar Khan, Ready and Bangistan.
9. Main Ek Din Laut Ke Aaonga - Nausheen Ali Sardar and Pooja Kanwal
Best known for Kkusum, Nausheen starred opposite Humayun Saeed in this film. A remake of the Bollywood film Karz, the film also starred Indian actress Pooja Kanwal in the lead. Pooja who has worked in several TV serials later became a popular anchor on Aajtak.
10. Anokhi - Sheila Ramani
Popularly known as the first Indian actress to do a Pakistani film post-partition, Late Sheila Ramani featured in 1959's film Anokhi. The film was Urdu lingual and Sheila did it only after her uncle insisted her. Sheila was one of India's boldest actresses and was best known for featuring in Taxi Driver.
11. Koi Tujh Sa Kahan - Simran
One of the most popular stars of South Indian films, Simran played the lead in a Pakistani film titled Koi Tujh Sa Kahan. It starred Moammar Rana opposite her alongside Veena Malik and Reema playing pivotal roles.
