She had her share of controversies in addition to her accomplishments. Rashmika’s name was linked to a dispute in 2017 after she referred to KGF singer Yash as a’showoff.’ That’s right, you read that correctly. “Who, according to you, is the Mr. Showoff in the Kannada cinema industry?” Rashmika was asked during an interview.

“Yash,” she said, prompting fans of the KGF actor to take to social media to voice their disappointment with the actress. Rashmika wrote a lengthy Facebook post about the situation after being mocked. The actress expressed her dissatisfaction with the “sudden change of events,” saying she is “very sad and disturbed.” She also mentioned that the interview was conducted prior to the release of her first film.

The statement went like this: “I don’t mean any disrespect to Yash Sir or anyone else. In fact, I’ve voiced my respect for Yash Sir, his brilliance, and how he has inspired everyone, including myself, on numerous times. Sadly, the media has missed the fact that I mentioned Santhu Straight Forward as my favourite film at the time. When you clip out only two lines from the show’s most lighthearted segment and spin it, the context is lost. That’s a great tragedy “..
