One of the most promising actors of the industry left everyone in a state of shock when he took his own life. Sushant Singh Rajput started his acting career from television and then he achieved success on the big screen as well but it was only after his departure from the world that everyone came to know he struggled and suffered a lot as he lost movies to star kids because of which he went into depression. It is completely true that not everything that glitters is gold and there is a dark side of the Indian film industry as well about which common public doesn’t know.

Son of popular actor Dharmendra and brother of actor Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol was termed as the next superstar after he made his debut with “Barsaat” and people also loved him in few other movies such as “Gupt”, “Soldier”, etc. However, his stardom got faded as some of his flicks tanked on the box-office which made him turn towards alcohol. In an interview, Bobby Deol stated that there was a time when he was on the verge of becoming a complete alcoholic but the good thing is that he has made a comeback now and has given some good acting performances in recent times.

3. Imran Khan:

Nephew of superstar Aamir Khan, Imran Khan became the heartthrob of many after the release of his debut film “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na” which was directed by Abbas Tyrewala and starred Genelia D’Souza in the female lead. A lot was expected from him but after some of his movies failed to perform on the box-office, Imran Khan decided to quit acting and Bollywood. In an interview, the actor talked about how he was left alone when his flicks didn’t work, he said that he had 100 friends after his debut movie did well but everyone got disappeared after a couple of his flicks got flopped. He further said that after two of his movies did well on the box-office, suddenly there were many who wanted to party with him but after “Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara” and “Gori Tere Pyaar Mein” fell flat, he was again left alone. “Katti Batti” was his last release after which he decided to quit acting.

4. Parveen Babi:

The actress was known for her glamorous roles and she was one of the highest paid actresses of the industry in 1970s and 80s. She was not just an actress who had worked with the top actors of the industry but also a fashion icon and she scripted history after she became the first Bollywood celebrity to appear on Time magazine’s cover in 1976. Though she had a great career, in 1983 she quit Bollywood and started career as an interior designer, she took up many other activities as well such as painting, writing, photography, sculpture, etc. Later on, there were reports that she suffered with paranoid schizophrenia because of which she broke relationships with many of her friends, relatives and known ones. She also suffered with diabetes and in 2005, she was found de*d in her apartment. As per police, there was no foul play and she lost her life due to total organ failure.

5. Aftab Shivdasani:

Aftab Shivdasani made his debut with Ram Gopal Varma directed “Mast” (1999) which also starred Urmila Matondkar and Antara Mali in important roles. He worked in many movies but majority of them were multi-starrer and slowly he stopped getting work in Bollywood after some of his flicks didn’t work well on the box-office. During an interview, Aftab talked about the ugly truth of the movie industry, he stated that a person is like a king when his films are working well but once his movies stop working, he is not important anymore and he is also not called to parties.

6. Vivek Oberoi:

Vivek Oberoi was also launched in Bollywood by Ram Gopal Varma in 2002 released film “Company” which also starred Ajay Devgn and Mohanlal in important roles. Everything was going great for the actor until he created a controversy by publicly slamming actor Salman Khan. It is being said that he stopped getting work because of his feud with Salman, though he is still working in the industry yet his stardom got highly affected because of the controversy.
